Why is each Napoli Necklace different?
The process of casting glass paste is a traditional craft that produces subtle variations from one piece to another: shades of color, presence of fine air bubbles. These differences are not imperfections; they are undeniable proof that your necklace was not mass-produced. You own a piece that no one else has exactly.
Can the Napoli Necklace be given as a gift?
Yes. Each piece is delivered in a signature Francoise Montague case, hand-sealed with a wax seal from the House. This gesture transforms the packaging into a precious object even before it is opened. A private in-store appointment is available upon request for a personalized selection.
Is the glass paste of the Napoli Necklace really handmade in Paris?
Yes. The clover pattern is created by artisanal casting: the artisans at the Françoise Montague workshop pour the glass paste into the metal, a meticulous gesture that requires years of mastery and is passed down from generation to generation. The subtle variations in shade and the air bubbles visible on each piece are the signature of this handcrafted work.
What is the Napoli Necklace by Francoise Montague?
The Napoli Necklace is a piece from the House of Françoise Montague, founded in 1945 at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. Its clover motif made of glass paste, hand-cast in metal, is surrounded by pearly beads on carefully gold-plated metal. Each piece is unique: the slight variations in shade and fine air bubbles are undeniable traces of the artisanal craft.
Does the Maison offer tax-free shopping and international shipping for the Napoli Necklace?
Yes. The tax refund service is available in-store at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris 1st arrondissement, for any customer residing outside the European Union. The Maison also offers international shipping to the United States and Gulf countries, with prices including taxes and customs duties (DDP).

Unique expertise since 1945

Our story begins in 1935, with a small jewelry workshop founded by Françoise Montague's mother. Ten years later, in 1945, the brand took the name it is known by today. Very quickly, its style stood out: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and limitless creativity.

Then in 1978, a new chapter, a fresh breath. At just 21 years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the desire to make the house shine even further. A visionary, she explored new horizons and from 1981, Françoise Montague creations flew to Asia, the East, and the West. In 1998, she opened the boutique at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré!

And today? The story continues! In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern and with my engineer’s perspective and all the know-how passed down before me, I bring this beautiful house to life, between heritage and modernity.
