Is the clip clasp of the Baron Earrings comfortable for long-term wear? Is it suitable for non-pierced ears?
Yes. The clip clasp of the Baron Earrings is hand-adjusted in our workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, set for a comfortable and durable hold, neither too tight to compress the earlobe nor too loose to slip off. The Barons are suitable for all ears, pierced or not. For particularly sensitive ears, a private appointment at the boutique at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré allows you to try the clip before purchase and adjust the tightness if necessary.
What is the difference between the four colors of the Baron Earrings?
The Barons come in four colors, each with its own personality. The turquoise (blue-green nacre pearl on gold metal) catches the light with a bold presence, ideal on a neutral background or dark outfit. The white pearl on gold metal is the most timeless version, matching any wardrobe, from everyday wear to special occasions. The coral on gold metal is a strong chromatic statement, enough to carry an outfit without any other jewelry. The black trimetal (dark cabochon, silver and gold rhinestones) plays with contrast and depth, making it the perfect evening version. All share the same level of artisanal craftsmanship, the same diameter of 2.5 cm, and the same weight of 14 g per earring.
Are the Baron Earrings entirely handmade in Paris?
Yes. Each pair of Baron Earrings is assembled in our workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris 1st, just steps from Place Vendôme. The work involves precise sewing: each crystal rhinestone washer is placed one by one, its alignment checked by hand, its hold controlled. The brass is plated with 24-carat fine gold by a Parisian specialist in gilding, a process distinct from simple industrial galvanization. The clip clasp is individually adjusted. Nothing in this process is mechanized: the consistency of the result depends solely on the mastery of the gesture, passed down in the House since 1945.
Can the Baron Earrings be given as a gift for a birthday or Mother's Day?
The Barons are one of the most gifted pieces from the House, precisely because they combine three rare qualities for a gift: an immediate visual presence (the cabochon is recognizable from a distance), universal accessibility (the clip fits all ears, no piercing needed), and an entry-level price for the House (275 EUR), making it a natural introduction to the Françoise Montague universe. Each pair is delivered in the signature case, hand-sealed with our wax seal, a ceremonial gesture that turns the packaging into a precious object even before it is opened.
Does the House offer tax-free shopping and international shipping for the Baron Earrings?
Yes. The tax refund service is offered in-store at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris 1st arrondissement, for any customer residing outside the European Union, including customers from the United States, Gulf countries, and Eastern Europe staying in Paris. International shipments are handled DDP (taxes and customs included) to the United States and Gulf countries: no surprise fees upon receipt. For the European Union, prices include all taxes. Delivery is provided by DHL Express (24 hours in France, 2 to 5 days internationally). Each package is prepared and sealed in the workshop with the care that a Françoise Montague piece deserves.

Portrait Françoise Montague colorées bijoux fantaisie de luxe paris

Unique expertise since 1945

The house of Françoise Montague was founded in 1945, heir to a Parisian jewelry workshop passed down by her mother. Françoise's style quickly became distinctive and recognizable: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and boundless creativity. Within a few years, the house made a name for itself among lovers of characterful jewelry, staying true to a standard that has never wavered.

In 1978, a new chapter began. At just twenty-one years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the ambition to take the house even further. A visionary, she explored new territories and forged connections beyond borders: as early as 1981, Françoise Montague’s creations reached Asia, the Middle East, and the West. In 1998, she took a decisive step by opening the boutique at 231 rue Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s fashion and luxury district.

Today, the story continues. In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern, and with my engineer’s perspective and all the expertise passed down before me, I bring this house to life, between heritage and modernity. Every creation that leaves the workshop extends this story and writes it a little further.
