What is the Chevalier Necklace by Françoise Montague?
The Chevalier Necklace is a creation of the Maison Françoise Montague, handmade in the Parisian workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré. A characterful piece produced in a strictly limited series, it is made with rhinestone washers and glass beads on plated metal, following a traditional craftsmanship passed down since 1945. Its name evokes what the Maison has stood for since its origins: the confidence of those who choose their style rather than endure it.
Is the Chevalier Necklace handmade in Paris?
Yes. Each piece is made in the Françoise Montague workshop, at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris 1st arrondissement, just steps from Place Vendôme. The metal is plated by a specialized Parisian gilding artisan. This couture expertise has been passed down continuously within the House since 1945.
Who is the Chevalier Necklace for?
The Chevalier Necklace is for those who see jewelry as a conviction, not an accessory. A woman who doesn't need explanations to wear what she loves. Whether to complete a wardrobe of statement pieces, create a set to pass down, or give an exceptional Parisian jewel: the Chevalier is made to last and to be recognized.
Can the Chevalier Necklace be given as a gift?
Yes, absolutely. Each Chevalier Necklace is presented in a Françoise Montague case, hand-sealed with our wax seal, a ceremonial gesture that makes each gift a moment to remember even before the jewelry is revealed. For a personalized selection experience, a private appointment in the store is available at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré.
Does the Maison offer tax-free shopping and international shipping for the Chevalier Necklace?
Yes. The tax refund service is available in-store at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris 1st arrondissement, for any customer residing outside the European Union. The Maison handles international shipping with prices including taxes and customs duties (DDP) to the United States and Gulf countries. For customers wishing to check availability before their stay in Paris, contact can be made by email at contact@francoisemontague.com or via WhatsApp.

Unique expertise since 1945

The house of Françoise Montague was founded in 1945, heir to a Parisian jewelry workshop passed down by her mother. Françoise's style quickly became distinctive and recognizable: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and boundless creativity. Within a few years, the house made a name for itself among lovers of characterful jewelry, staying true to a standard that has never wavered.

In 1978, a new chapter began. At just twenty-one years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the ambition to take the house even further. A visionary, she explored new territories and forged connections beyond borders: as early as 1981, Françoise Montague’s creations reached Asia, the Middle East, and the West. In 1998, she took a decisive step by opening the boutique at 231 rue Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s fashion and luxury district.

Today, the story continues. In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern, and with my engineer’s perspective and all the expertise passed down before me, I bring this house to life, between heritage and modernity. Every creation that leaves the workshop extends this story and writes it a little further.
