Are these earrings suitable for non-pierced ears?
Yes. They are worn as clips, without piercing.
Are they heavy to wear?
Each earring weighs 12.5 g. The clip holds the piece without squeezing too tightly, for comfortable wear even in the evening.
What is their exact size?
They measure 6 cm in height and 3 cm in width. The dangling drop gives them a long look, very noticeable with hair pulled back. Since they are handmade, the size varies slightly from one piece to another.
Is there a shorter version?
Yes. The short Amalfi Earrings feature the same flower, without the dangling drop.
What is flame-cast glass paste?
Flame-cast glass paste is a handcrafted technique in which the glass material is worked directly with heat by an artisan. Each clover of the Amalfi Necklace is individually shaped in our workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré. The slight variations in color and the fine air bubbles visible in each pattern are authentic marks of this craftsmanship: no clover is identical to another. This precise gesture, which requires years of mastery, has been passed down in the House since 1945.

Exceptional expertise

In Françoise Montague's creations, the glass is melted at over 800°C with a flame. Our artisans fuse colored glass rods onto a copper framework, shaped by hand.

Small bubbles, slight asymmetries, and veins caused by the torch smoke reveal the handcrafting process. A perfectly smooth and symmetrical piece betrays industrial production.

Since 1945

The house of Françoise Montague was founded in 1945, heir to a Parisian jewelry workshop passed down by her mother. Françoise's style quickly became distinctive and recognizable: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and boundless creativity. Within a few years, the house made a name for itself among lovers of characterful jewelry, staying true to a standard that has never wavered.

In 1978, a new chapter began. At just twenty-one years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the ambition to take the house even further. A visionary, she explored new territories and forged connections beyond borders: as early as 1981, Françoise Montague’s creations reached Asia, the Middle East, and the West. In 1998, she took a decisive step by opening the boutique at 231 rue Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s fashion and luxury district.

Today, the story continues. In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern, and with my engineer’s perspective and all the expertise passed down before me, I bring this house to life, between heritage and modernity. Every creation that leaves the workshop extends this story and writes it a little further.
