Wipe the pearls with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, perfumes, and cosmetics. Store the necklace flat.

Is the topaz variant authenticated?

Yes. It is a period creation by Françoise Montague.

Why is the topaz variant offered at a different price?

The topaz is the original piece, found and then preserved by the House. It is a collectible item that can no longer be reproduced. The other colors are handmade reissues made in Paris in 2026.

Is the Hylia Necklace suitable for both daytime and evening wear?

Yes. On a white shirt collar and jeans, it enhances a daytime outfit. On a dark dress with an exposed neck, it dresses up an evening outfit.

Three rows of faceted crystal that catch the light and reflect it back. The Hylia Necklace is based on a piece created in our workshops decades ago, rediscovered by chance on a flea market table, then remade identically on Rue Saint-Honoré. Same shape, same reflections. A creation by Françoise Montague that has already stood the test of time once.

Worn over a turtleneck and jeans, it is enough to complete a daytime look. On a dark dress with an exposed neck, it becomes the centerpiece of an evening outfit. The three rows adorn the neckline without overwhelming it, at a midi length that falls just below the collarbone.

Each strand is assembled in our workshop, faceted crystal bead after faceted crystal bead. The clasp, the only difference from the original piece, is created in the workshop at 231 rue Saint-Honoré.

Care

Wipe the beads with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, perfumes, and cosmetics, which can tarnish the gold plating and dull the crystal’s shine. Store the necklace flat, away from moisture.

Orders are prepared and shipped within 2 to 5 business days (extended during high demand periods, trade shows, or inventory). Pre-order items are shipped from the date indicated on the product page; if the order includes two pre-order items, the package is sent once complete (the latest date).

Unique expertise since 1945

The house of Françoise Montague was founded in 1945, heir to a Parisian jewelry workshop passed down by her mother. Françoise's style quickly became distinctive and recognizable: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and boundless creativity. Within a few years, the house made a name for itself among lovers of characterful jewelry, staying true to a standard that has never wavered.

In 1978, a new chapter began. At just twenty-one years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the ambition to take the house even further. A visionary, she explored new territories and forged connections beyond borders: as early as 1981, Françoise Montague’s creations reached Asia, the Middle East, and the West. In 1998, she took a decisive step by opening the boutique at 231 rue Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s fashion and luxury district.

Today, the story continues. In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern, and with my engineer’s perspective and all the expertise passed down before me, I bring this house to life, between heritage and modernity. Every creation that leaves the workshop extends this story and writes it a little further.
