The Sunset Earrings are clip-on dangle earrings from Maison Françoise Montague, founded in 1945 at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. Each pair is entirely handmade in the Parisian workshop: each pearl is placed individually, each row of tassels constructed to achieve a smooth drape and balanced volume. The metal is plated with 24-carat fine gold by a Parisian gilding specialist. Available in three colors: hazelnut brown, chalcedony blue, and silver black. The Sunset earrings can be worn from morning to night.

Are the Sunset Earrings suitable for non-pierced ears?

Yes. The Sunset Earrings are equipped with a clip clasp, designed for all ears, pierced or not. The clip is adjusted to hold the jewelry without pinching the lobe, even for a pair with bold dimensions (7 x 2.5 cm, 20 g per earring). This type of clasp is part of the Parisian couture tradition of grand evening jewelry.

Are the Sunset Earrings handmade in Paris?

Yes. Each pair of Sunset Earrings is assembled in our workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris 1st, just steps from Place Vendôme. The stringing of the pearls, the assembly of the crystal rhinestone tassels, and the adjustment of the clip clasp are all done by hand by our passionate artisans. No step is mechanized. The 24-carat fine gold plating is entrusted to a Parisian specialist. This expertise has been passed down in the House since 1945.

Can the Sunset Earrings be given as a gift?

Yes. Each pair leaves the House in its signature case, hand-sealed with our wax seal. This ceremonial gesture, inherited from the codes of private correspondence, transforms the package into a precious object even before it is opened. A private appointment at the workshop on 231 Rue Saint-Honoré is available upon request to choose the color in-store and accompany the purchase with a personalized handwritten note.

Orders are prepared and shipped within 24 to 72 business hours. This timeframe may be extended during periods of high demand, such as holidays, trade shows, or inventory counts.

Shipments of pre-order items begin from the date specified on the product page. If your order includes two pre-order items, the package will be shipped once it is complete, based on the latest date.

Delivery in Metropolitan France is handled by DHL Express (24 hours after shipping, Monday to Friday), Colissimo (2-3 days), and internationally with DHL Express (2-5 days) or Colissimo (5-6 days) if your destination is not served by DHL.

The Sunset Earrings are the result of patient work involving stringing and assembly. In our workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, each bead is placed by hand, each row of tassels built to achieve a smooth drape and balanced volume. The setting of the cabochons and the adjustment of the clip clasp require the eye and skill of a craftsman. The metal is plated with 24-carat fine gold by a Parisian gilding specialist. No step is mechanized: the cascade is built link by link until the piece finds its perfect movement.

We use high-quality crystal washers.

This piece is handmade.

To keep your jewelry even longer, we recommend removing it before sleeping and before swimming or showering.

Each pair of Sunset Earrings leaves the workshop in its case, sealed by hand with the Maison's signature wax seal, a gesture inherited from the codes of private correspondence.

For our international customers visiting Paris, tax refund is applied in-store at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré. Internationally, prices include taxes and customs duties on a DDP basis for the United States and Gulf countries, and are all taxes included for the European Union.

Unique expertise since 1945

Our story begins in 1935, with a small jewelry workshop founded by Françoise Montague's mother. Ten years later, in 1945, the brand took the name it is known by today. Very quickly, its style stood out: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and limitless creativity.

Then in 1978, a new chapter, a fresh breath. At just 21 years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the desire to make the house shine even further. A visionary, she explored new horizons and from 1981, Françoise Montague creations flew to Asia, the East, and the West. In 1998, she opened the boutique at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré!

And today? The story continues! In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern and with my engineer’s perspective and all the know-how passed down before me, I bring this beautiful house to life, between heritage and modernity.
