Grappe Ear Cuff

Poured glass cast in the flame, in Paris.
Regular price 75 €
Color: Saphir

A drop of glass paste suspended from a gold-plated hoop, worn high on the ear, with no piercing required. The glass is flame-worked in Paris: it retains its transparency, variations, and slight irregularity. The hoop grips the cartilage and can be adjusted by hand to fit the shape of each ear. Put it on in the morning and forget about it.

Worn alone, it adds a spot of color to a sleek bun or low ponytail, catching the eye when you turn your head. Worn as a pair or trio on the same ear, it creates a line. Combined with the Grappe Earrings on the lobe, the drop is echoed on a larger scale: this is the pairing the piece was designed for.

Exceptional expertise

In Françoise Montague creations, glass is shaped in a flame at over 800°C. Our artisans melt colored glass rods onto a hand-shaped copper framework.

Small bubbles, slight asymmetries, and veining caused by the torch flame reveal the handcraft. A perfectly smooth and symmetrical piece betrays industrial production.
