What materials are the Béa earrings made of?
The Béa earrings are made of a body in 24-carat fine gold-plated brass (or silver-plated depending on the color), crystal navettes, and a high-fashion nacre pearl cabochon or glass pearl. Each pair is handmade in the Françoise Montague workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris.
Are the Béa earrings suitable for pierced ears?
Yes. The Béa is mounted on a leverback clasp, designed exclusively for pierced ears. This lightweight earring and its clasp (3 grams per earring) ensure a secure hold and comfortable wear from morning to evening.
How do I care for my Béa earrings to keep them lasting a long time?
Avoid any contact with perfume, cosmetics, and water (shower, bath, pool). Remove your earrings before sleeping. Store them in their original case. The nacre cabochon should be treated like a real pearl: a gentle wipe with a dry cloth is sufficient.
Can I benefit from the tax refund?
Yes. Françoise Montague offers a tax refund service in-store for all international customers residing outside the European Union. The process is simplified and carried out on-site at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré. Internationally, prices include taxes and customs duties (DDP) for the United States and Gulf countries.
What is the difference between a Françoise Montague haute couture jewel and a classic costume jewelry piece?
A high-fashion Françoise Montague jewel is designed and handmade in a Parisian workshop by skilled artisans, using noble materials: 24-carat gold-plated brass, crystal, glass paste, mother-of-pearl. Each piece comes from artisanal production that excludes industrial manufacturing and is signed on the back. The House has maintained this level of quality since 1945. Mass-market jewelry relies on mass production, common materials, and lacks artisanal traceability.

Unique expertise since 1945

Our story begins in 1935, with a small jewelry workshop founded by Françoise Montague's mother. Ten years later, in 1945, the brand took the name it is known by today. Very quickly, its style stood out: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and limitless creativity.

Then in 1978, a new chapter, a fresh breath. At just 21 years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the desire to make the house shine even further. A visionary, she explored new horizons and from 1981, Françoise Montague creations flew to Asia, the East, and the West. In 1998, she opened the boutique at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré!

And today? The story continues! In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern and with my engineer’s perspective and all the know-how passed down before me, I bring this beautiful house to life, between heritage and modernity.
