How does the Powers Sautoir wear as a jewelry belt?
The Powers Sautoir measures 80 cm, a length calibrated for triple use. Worn singly, it falls along the torso. Doubled around the neck, it tightens into two distinct rows. As a jewelry belt, it ties or drapes at the waist or hips, over a flowing dress, a structured blazer, or a high-waisted skirt. It is this third use that makes the Powers a wardrobe piece, not just a piece of jewelry. A private appointment at the workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré allows you to see each configuration in a real-life setting.
Are the rhinestones on the Powers Sautoir of good quality?
Yes. The washers of the Powers Sautoir are made of high-quality crystal, selected for the consistency of its cut and the purity of its sparkle. This level of material requirement is one of the criteria that distinguishes a Françoise Montague haute couture jewel from a mass-market accessory. The crystal tassel cascade pendant, with individually mounted crystals in a gradient, embodies this expertise: each rhinestone washer is hand-positioned in our workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, following the same technique passed down in the House since 1945.
What is the difference between the Sapphire color and the Nude color?
The Sapphire color combines washers in deep blue and navy shades with clear crystals, creating a strong and confident presence that stands out against a dark solid background or formal outfit. It is the version for those who embrace making an entrance. The Nude color (ivory and opaline, gold metal) is more luminous than discreet: it softly captures the light and matches a wider variety of tones. It is the version for special occasions when you want to shine without competing with your outfit. Both colors share exactly the same level of artisanal craftsmanship. To choose, a private appointment at the workshop allows you to try both on display.
Can the Powers Sautoir be worn for a prestigious occasion like a wedding or an anniversary?
The Powers Sautoir is a piece from Maison idéale perfect for gifting on special occasions, precisely because it combines several rare qualities: a strong visual presence (the tassel pendant immediately catches the eye), versatile wear options (necklace or jewelry belt), and a level of artisanal craftsmanship that is both visible and tangible to the touch. Each piece is delivered in the signature Françoise Montague case, hand-sealed with our wax seal, a ceremonial gesture that turns the packaging into a precious object even before it is opened.
Does the House offer tax-free shopping and secure international shipping for the Powers Necklace?
Yes. The tax refund service is offered in-store at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris 1st arrondissement, for any customer residing outside the European Union, including customers from Gulf countries and North America. International shipments are handled DDP (taxes and customs included) to the United States and Gulf countries: no additional fees upon receipt. Delivery is provided by DHL Express (2 to 5 days depending on the destination). For exceptional pieces like the Powers Sautoir, reinforced packaging is systematically used. A private appointment can be arranged in-store for customers visiting Paris.

Portrait Françoise Montague colorées bijoux fantaisie de luxe paris

Unique expertise since 1945

The house of Françoise Montague was founded in 1945, heir to a Parisian jewelry workshop passed down by her mother. Françoise's style quickly became distinctive and recognizable: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and boundless creativity. Within a few years, the house made a name for itself among lovers of characterful jewelry, staying true to a standard that has never wavered.

In 1978, a new chapter began. At just twenty-one years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the ambition to take the house even further. A visionary, she explored new territories and forged connections beyond borders: as early as 1981, Françoise Montague’s creations reached Asia, the Middle East, and the West. In 1998, she took a decisive step by opening the boutique at 231 rue Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s fashion and luxury district.

Today, the story continues. In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern, and with my engineer’s perspective and all the expertise passed down before me, I bring this house to life, between heritage and modernity. Every creation that leaves the workshop extends this story and writes it a little further.
