The Panthère Necklace is a creation of the Maison Françoise Montague, handmade in the Parisian workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré. A statement piece adorned with the panther motif, a symbol of boldness and emancipation in French haute couture, it is made with pearl-like beads on gold-plated metal. Available in two colors (Pearl White, Champagne Pearls), each piece is produced in a very limited series from our Parisian workshop.

Is the Panthère Necklace handmade in Paris?

Yes. Each piece is made in the Françoise Montague workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris 1st arrondissement, just steps from Place Vendôme. The metal is plated by a specialized Parisian gilding artisan. The pearl beads are individually selected for their shine. This artisanal know-how has been passed down in the House without interruption since 1945.

The Pearl White color offers a strong contrast and an immediate shine: it is worn with dark shades for a sharp signature effect. The Panthère Necklace is handcrafted in our workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris, where Françoise Montague has been creating haute couture jewelry since 1945. Produced in a very limited series, it is not reproduced identically: each piece carries the precision of a gesture that is never repeated.

Composition
Strand of pearly glass beads, central panther motif in 24-carat gold-plated brass, crystal rhinestone highlights. Available in pearly white beads or champagne pearly beads.

Care
Remove your necklace before sleeping, bathing, or applying perfume, as perfume dulls the shine of the pearly beads. Store it in its case, away from light and humidity, and occasionally wipe it with a soft, dry cloth.

Orders are prepared and shipped within 2 to 5 business days (extended during high demand periods, trade shows, or inventory). Pre-order items are shipped from the date indicated on the product page; if the order includes two pre-order items, the package is sent once complete (the latest date).

Unique expertise since 1945

The house of Françoise Montague was founded in 1945, heir to a Parisian jewelry workshop passed down by her mother. Françoise's style quickly became distinctive and recognizable: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and boundless creativity. Within a few years, the house made a name for itself among lovers of characterful jewelry, staying true to a standard that has never wavered.

In 1978, a new chapter began. At just twenty-one years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the ambition to take the house even further. A visionary, she explored new territories and forged connections beyond borders: as early as 1981, Françoise Montague’s creations reached Asia, the Middle East, and the West. In 1998, she took a decisive step by opening the boutique at 231 rue Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s fashion and luxury district.

Today, the story continues. In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern, and with my engineer’s perspective and all the expertise passed down before me, I bring this house to life, between heritage and modernity. Every creation that leaves the workshop extends this story and writes it a little further.
