Long, double wrap, or as a belt. The free composition of the sautoir adapts to all body types, all desires, and all outfits.

What is the Avenue Sautoir made of?

Golden chain, pearly white beads, and colored glass paste flame-cast in Paris. 24-carat gold-plated copper by a Parisian gilding specialist.

Why is copper included in the composition?

Copper withstands the high temperatures required for flame glass casting. It is the metal of choice for artisanal glass paste.

Is the Avenue Sautoir fragile?

No. The beauty of our glass paste lies in its authenticity: it is real glass, which therefore needs to be protected from shocks to avoid breaking. To preserve the shine of your jewelry, we recommend removing it before sleeping, exercising, or showering, and keeping it away from perfume.

Glass paste is one of the most demanding crafts in Parisian couture jewelry. Hand-poured, each bead reveals a depth of color that resin or industrial crystal can never achieve.

A haute couture piece deserves respect. Remove your long necklace before bathing, showering, or exercising. Avoid direct contact with perfume and cosmetics, especially on the glass paste. Store it in its original case. With these simple precautions, your Avenue necklace will last for years.

Orders are prepared and shipped within 2 to 5 business days (extended during high demand periods, trade shows, or inventory). Pre-order items are shipped from the date indicated on the product page; if the order includes two pre-order items, the package is sent once complete (the latest date).
Mainland France: Colissimo 13H (next-day delivery, Monday to Friday) or standard Colissimo (2 to 3 business days). International: Colissimo International or DHL Express, your choice (4 to 8 business days estimated depending on the carrier). Free shipping in mainland France for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €1500. For the United States and Gulf countries, the price is all-inclusive (DDP): no customs fees upon receipt.

Unique expertise since 1945

Our story begins in 1935, with a small jewelry workshop founded by Françoise Montague’s mother. Ten years later, in 1945, the brand took the name it is known by today. Very quickly, its style stood out: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and limitless creativity.

Then in 1978, a new chapter, a fresh breath. At just 21 years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the desire to make the house shine even further. A visionary, she explored new horizons and by 1981, Françoise Montague’s creations were flying to Asia, the East, and the West. In 1998, she opened the boutique at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré!

And today? The story continues! In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern, and with my engineer’s perspective and all the expertise passed down before me, I bring this beautiful house to life, between heritage and modernity.
