What is the Laura charm necklace by Françoise Montague?
The Laura necklace is a piece designed by Françoise Montague, produced in a very limited series. It is made up of vintage medallions in 24-carat fine gold-plated metal, hand-assembled in the Maison's Parisian workshop at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré. Its length of 43 cm, adjustable up to 49.5 cm, makes it a necklace suitable for both day and evening wear.
Is the Laura necklace handmade in Paris?
Yes. Each Laura necklace is assembled medallion by medallion in our Parisian workshop, located at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, just steps from Place Vendôme. The 24-carat fine gold gilding is entrusted to a master gilder from Paris, a historic partner of the House. This expertise has been passed down at Françoise Montague since 1945.
What does 'signed Françoise Montague' mean for the Laura necklace?
A piece signed by Françoise Montague bears the House's signature as a guarantee of authenticity and origin. The signature commits the House to the craftsmanship, material, and traceability of the jewelry. It also places the piece within the lineage of Françoise Montague creations since 1945, giving it its heritage value, designed to be passed down.
Can the Laura necklace be given as a gift?
Absolutely. Each Laura necklace is delivered in a signature case, hand-sealed with our House's wax seal. This ceremonial gesture turns the purchase into a precious object even before it is opened. A private in-store appointment is also available upon request for a personalized selection experience.
Does Françoise Montague offer tax-free shopping and international shipping?
Yes. The tax refund service is offered in-store at 231 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris 1st arrondissement, for any customer residing outside the European Union. The Maison also provides international shipping with prices including taxes and customs duties (DDP) to the United States and Gulf countries.

Unique expertise since 1945

The house of Françoise Montague was founded in 1945, heir to a Parisian jewelry workshop passed down by her mother. Françoise's style quickly became distinctive and recognizable: enameled and iridescent glass beads, unique craftsmanship, and boundless creativity. Within a few years, the house made a name for itself among lovers of characterful jewelry, staying true to a standard that has never wavered.

In 1978, a new chapter began. At just twenty-one years old, Marion Stern took the reins with the ambition to take the house even further. A visionary, she explored new territories and forged connections beyond borders: as early as 1981, Françoise Montague’s creations reached Asia, the Middle East, and the West. In 1998, she took a decisive step by opening the boutique at 231 rue Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s fashion and luxury district.

Today, the story continues. In June 2023, I joined the adventure in turn. My name is Rebecca Mamou-Stern, and with my engineer’s perspective and all the expertise passed down before me, I bring this house to life, between heritage and modernity. Every creation that leaves the workshop extends this story and writes it a little further.
